Why “unexplained infertility” often leaves unanswered questions
An “unexplained infertility” diagnosis usually means that routine tests haven’t identified a clear cause, rather than that there is no explanation.
Standard testing doesn’t always explore everything that can influence fertility, which can leave people unsure about what to do next.
Taking time to review what’s already been investigated and consider whether anything has been missed can help clarify the most appropriate next step.
In many cases, ‘unexplained’ reflects the limits of standard testing rather than the absence of an underlying issue.
This is where a more structured, investigative approach becomes useful.

About Me
“Hi, I’m Sophie, a registered nutritional and herbal therapist specialising in reproductive health.
I’ve spent over 10 years working with women and couples who’ve been given an “unexplained infertility” diagnosis and are looking for clearer answers before moving forward, whether that’s trying naturally or preparing for IVF.
My own experience of infertility and IVF is what led me into this work. It showed me how often people are expected to move ahead without really understanding what’s going on in their body or what could be addressed beforehand.
Today, my work focuses on taking a step back, reviewing what’s already been investigated, identifying what may have been missed, and turning that information into clear, personalised guidance you can actually use.
I work alongside medical care where appropriate and aim to provide calm, practical support so you can move forward feeling informed and confident in your decisions.”

Frequently asked questions
Are Clinical Tests included in the package?
No – clinical tests are charged separately from the package price. This is because the type of testing required depends on your individual needs and health profile. By keeping tests separate, we can be more flexible and ensure that you only pay for the tests that are most relevant to you.
In some cases, we may also be able to use recent test results you already have, reducing the need for duplicate testing.
To give you an idea of typical costs:
Comprehensive Blood Test: £199.00 + £35.00 partner clinic blood draw fee
Seminal or Vaginal Microbiome Testing: £249.99 each
You can find full details of other available tests on our [Clinical Tests page].
Are supplements included?
No – all supplements and herbal formulas are charged in addition to the package cost.
What if we’re not pregnant after 4 months? Will we need to continue working with you?
The 4-month program is the minimum timeframe we recommend to focus on preconception health. This is because it takes around 100 days for an egg to mature and about 72 days for sperm production (spermatogenesis). During this time, we’ll work on nutrition and lifestyle changes that can significantly improve the quality of both eggs and sperm.
However, when addressing more complex fertility challenges, additional time may be needed. For example, hormonal rebalancing can take several months, and as we progress with testing, results may highlight areas that require further investigation or retesting.
During the initial 4 months, we’ll focus on building strong fertility foundations. Some couples conceive during or shortly after the program, while others benefit from ongoing support beyond this period. If you wish to continue, you’ll have the option to book ad hoc follow-up appointments, allowing you to continue at your own pace while building on the progress you’ve already made.
What happens if we conceive while still working through the package?
That’s wonderful news, and congratulations in advance!
If you conceive during the program, you can continue to use my support throughout your first trimester. During this time, our focus naturally shifts from preconception to supporting a healthy early pregnancy, helping you with nutrition, lifestyle, and symptom management as your body adjusts.
How many people actually conceive after following this programme?
While there are no guarantees of conception, many clients do go on to conceive after completing the programme. Every fertility journey is unique, some cases are more complex and may require additional medical support. I strongly believe in working collaboratively with medical practitioners when needed, as an integrated approach often provides the best results.
The focus of this programme is to help you build strong fertility foundations and gain a deep understanding of your individual challenges. This not only increases your natural chances of conception but also helps you achieve better outcomes from any fertility treatments you may pursue.
In my 10 years of clinical practice, I’ve seen very few clients who haven’t eventually conceived. For some, it happens naturally after addressing underlying issues; for others, conception occurs with the help of medical treatment. Often, we uncover key factors that were previously missed, and once these are identified and addressed, meaningful progress follows.
